Adding comments to a grade entry

  1. Click the Control Panel button on the left side of the screen in your Course homepage.

  2. Under Assessment, click Grade Center.
    Click Gradecenter
  3. Find the column to add a comment to and notice that when the mouse cursor is moved over a graded column, double down arrows appear.

  4. Click the double down arrows to display the shortcut menu and select Add Comment.

  5. Enter the comments.

    Note:
    text entered into the Feedback to User box is shared with the student.  Comments entered in the Grading Notes area are available to only those that have the ability to modify the Grade Center (Faculty, TAs and Graders).
  6. Click the Submit button to save the comments.
    Click Submit
    Note: In the Faculty view of the Grade Center, the comment is added and an orange triangle is displayed for a visual indicator of the comment. For steps to remove this orange triangle click here.

    Notice that in the Student view of My Grades, comments appear directly in the Comments section.
